Registration

Without sponsorship, the Freedom 50 Relay is a completely self-funded event. Registration fees will go toward the costs of the event. This event is not intended to clear money. Fees received will go back into the event. Any residual funds will go into the Freedom 5K fund to be combined with next year's Damascus Freedom 5K proceeds to support disabled US veterans and their families.

New this year...

  • The Freedom 50 carbo load - a buffet for all teams the night before the race at J&P in Damascus.
  • Something catered at the end (this will depend how much money is left).

We'll still have light food and drink at the exchanges.
Team leaders will register their team this year. There will be no individual registration as there was in the past.

If you are without a team, need an extra person or just have questions, contact me at damascusfreedom5k@gmail.com. I'll keep a list of people looking for teams. I won't post contact info without first clearing it with you.

Race Registration Pricing

Team fees will depend on the number of participants. It will include both dinners (Freedom 50 carbo load and post event catering) and other costs associated with the race.

January - $21/person
February - $23/person
March - $25/person
Registration is closed.

Final Comments

This is supposed to be a fun event. Anyone can do this, I don't care what your pace is. The first year we had a dog run a leg. In this event, that's fine. If you do that, put Rover on the completed leg planner that you submit (Rover doesn't have to pay a fee.)

If you are a solo runner, I can't guarantee support at the exchanges. If you have any questions or comments, e-mail me at damascusfreedom5k@gmail.com.
